# Retrieve upcoming minimum wage rate updates

> Retrieve future-dated rates with /mwf/v1/rates/effective. Covers the from and to date range, their defaults, and mwUid wildcards.

Minimum wage rates are updated throughout the country on an ongoing basis as legislation is passed within different jurisdictions. After Symmetry confirms a future minimum wage rate, Minimum Wage Finder publishes the update. Use the `/mwf/v1/rates/effective` endpoint to view future-dated effective rates.

## View upcoming minimum wage changes

To view future-dated effective rates, call `/mwf/v1/rates/effective` and set the date range using the `from` and `to` query parameters.

* `from` defaults to the current date if you omit it.
* `to` defaults to `9999-12-31` if you omit it, which returns every future rate from the `from` date onward.

### Example 1: Future date range for California

To see future-dated minimum wage rate changes for the state of California between January 1, 2027 and June 30, 2027, set the following query parameters:

* `mwUid=06-*-*-*-*-*`
* `from=2027-01-01`
* `to=2027-06-30`

### Example 2: View all upcoming rate changes

To retrieve all future-dated minimum wage rates across the United States and its territories, use the following query parameter:

* `mwUid=*-*-*-*-*-*`
