How to use Symmetry Tax Logic Chat
With the Symmetry Tax Logic Chat add-on, all users within your company who have a Client Support Center login can access it from the homepage (upper right). To get the most accurate and detailed answer, use a clear and specific prompt:1
Attach your log file or JSON payload
Attach your log file or PayCalc session recording for STE on-premise, or your JSON request for STE API. Symmetry Tax Logic Chat supports
.json, .txt, and .log file types. If you don’t attach a payload, you’ll receive a message asking you to upload one.2
Ask a clear question
We have found the best results come from using the following format: “Explain step by step how the STE calculated X tax according to the attached log.”
3
Reference the tax
Be sure to ask about only one tax at a time and reference the tax in a way that can be associated with the tax ID. You can also just provide the tax ID.
Log file requirements
- On-premise clients: Your log file must contain a single
payCalc. - API clients: Your JSON payload must contain only one request.
