The same minimum wage data is available two ways. The rates, the Portal, and everything in these pages are identical either way. The one thing that changes is the endpoint path.

One Portal, two entitlements

Both are the same Portal application. What you see depends on what your organization has licensed:
  • With minimum wage licensed, the Wage Rates tab appears, and rates are returned in Maps and Batch results
  • With tax rates licensed, Payroll Point’s tax determination appears
  • With both, you get both in the same session
If your organization has minimum wage but not tax rates, the Portal presents itself as Minimum Wage Finder. That is the standalone product.
Not seeing the Wage Rates tab, or getting no rates back? Minimum wage is licensed separately in both cases. Contact your Symmetry Account Executive, or reach out through the Client Support Center.

The endpoints differ

This is the part worth checking before you write any code. The rate endpoints are the same in behaviour and response shape, and different in path. Swap the prefix and everything else holds. Authority levels, wage categories, industry and attribute variants, inheritance rules, the mwUid format, and the response shape are identical. So these pages apply whichever one you have. The only thing to carry across is the path. For how rates appear alongside tax results in a Payroll Point lookup, see Minimum wage add-on.
